Biography

Tommy Dallahanwas born on April 2, 2001, and grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut. He played golf at Simsbury High School before moving to Avon Old Farms School, where he helped the team win the 2019 New England Team Championship. He earned honors such as All‑New England, Founders League Individual Champion, and All‑Founders League during his high school years.
He joined the University of Connecticut men’s golf team, playing from his freshman year in 2021 through his senior year in 2024. Across his college career, he played over 84 rounds in 28 events, with a career average of 73.96 strokes per round, ranking top among returning players. He recorded 11 top‑20 finishes, 27 rounds of par or better, including four rounds under 70 and a career‑low round of 65.
As a freshman in 2020‑21, he completed all 10 spring events with an average of 75.8 per round, posting three rounds of par or better and a low round of 70 twice. He also had a strong record in match play, contributing to UConn’s win at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play event.
In his sophomore season (2021‑22), he competed in 11 events and improved his scoring to 72.64 average, with six top‑20 finishes, 15 rounds at or below par, and a career-low 65. He won the Bash At The Beach medalist honors with a score of 12‑under 201 and tied for 11th at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate.
During his junior year (2022‑23), he appeared in nine events, finishing with a 73.93 average, three top‑20 finishes, and nine rounds at par or better. His best result came at the Carolina Cup, where he tied for 12th and earned BIG EAST Golfer of the Week. He tied for 14th at the 2023 BIG EAST Championship.
In February 2024, after finishing third at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate with a total of 205 (69‑69‑67) and 17 birdies, he led UConn to victory in the BIG EAST Match Play event and was named BIG EAST Men’s Golfer of the Week.
In the 2023 Connecticut Amateur, he made it through stroke play tied for 13th, advanced to the Round of 32 and Round of 16, and reached the semifinals before losing match play 6 & 5 to amateur star Cody Paladino.
Off the course, Tommy works with coach Paul Ramee out of Bull’s Bridge Golf Club and plays out of Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford. His family includes his parents Matt and Monica and younger brother Patrick.
