Biography

Rodney Lienhardtwas born on January 1, 1971, in Greenwich, Connecticut. He grew up in Greenwich and became childhood friends with Shane McMahon; they also met Pete Gasparino in high school. The trio played football together and frequently worked out at the WWF gym in Stamford after they graduated.
In early 1999, Shane invited Lienhardt and Gasparino to appear on WWF television. Rodney debuted on Raw is Waron March 22, 1999, as a member of the Mean Street Posse, alongside Pete Gasand later Joey Abs. The Posse dressed in sweater vests and khakis to play spoiled kids from Greenwich, helping Shane in his feud over the European Championship. Throughout 1999 and 2000, Rodney and his group appeared on SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Armageddon, using sneaky tactics like switching places behind the referee's back in a tag battle royal. Though they never captured tag titles, they remained a memorable part of the Attitude Era.
During WrestleMania 2000on April 2, Rodney briefly won the WWF Hardcore Championship by pinning Funaki in a chaotic battle royal but lost it seconds later when Joey Abs pinned him. While the title changes were short-lived, they fit the Posse’s playful and unpredictable style. Later in 2000, Rodney and the Posse were sent to Memphis Championship Wrestling, WWE’s developmental territory, where he and Joey Abs won the MCW Southern Tag Team Championship twice. Rodney was also renamed RodRageous in Memphis Power Pro Wrestling and captured the MPPW Television Championship twice before WWE ended affiliations and released the group in June 2001.
After leaving WWE, Rodney briefly worked on the independent circuit. He retired from full-time wrestling by late 2001. Today, he lives in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, where he owns a landscaping company. He is married and has two daughters. Though his time in wrestling was short, Rodney’s role in the Mean Street Posse made him a distinctive character remembered for his comedic presence and unexpected rise in WWF
