Biography
Jeanna Michaels(May 9, 1956 – May 23, 2018) was an American actress best remembered by fans of daytime and prime time TV. She first gained attention playing Connie Brasher, the secretary to Bobby Ewing, on Dallas, a role she held for 33 episodes between 1979 and 1981. Her character is remembered for a supportive moment when she gave Bobby a kiss at his desk, a small act that caused tension with his wife, Pam.
After Dallas, she joined The Young and the Restlessin 1981 as Karen Richards, where she stayed through 1982. In 1983, she appeared on General Hospitalas Constance Townley, a federal agent who became involved with Luke Spencer during a major storyline before leaving town when Laura returned.
In 1988–1989, Jeanna played Lydia Saunders on Santa Barbara, and in 1991 she appeared as Madame Rosa on Generations. She made many guest appearances on shows such as Knight Rider(as Lauren Royce), Safe at Home, Who’s the Boss?, Matlock, Jake and the Fatman, CHiPs, and Hunter.
Alongside her acting, she was the founder and Producing Artistic Director of a theater group called Compass Players. She had studied theater arts at UCLA under mentors like Stella Adler and Michael Shurtleff, using her early living room performances to build toward professional productions.
Jeanna Michaels passed away from lymphoma on May 23, 2018, at age 62. She left behind a legacy in both television and theater as a respected performer and creator.
