Brent Morin was born on August 31, 1986, in South Windsor, Connecticut, to parents who both worked as high school English teachers. He grew up with an older brother, Jared, who became a concert pianist, and a younger brother, Matthew, who became a professional figure skater and later a doctor. Brent graduated from South Windsor High School. He is of Irish and Italian background.
At age eighteen, he moved to Los Angeles to attend Columbia College Hollywood, where he earned a film degree. Despite graduating in filmmaking, Brent chose to pursue stand‑up comedy instead. That covers his early background without touching on his later career moves.

Career

Brent moved to Los Angeles at age 18 and studied film at Columbia College Hollywood. After graduating, he began working as a production assistant on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brienon NBC, later continuing with Conan on TBS as Andy Richter’s stand-in. His time with Conan taught him about comedy and professionalism, shaping his early path.
Brent performed stand-up regularly at top comedy clubs like The Comedy Store, The Improv, and Laugh Factory. He also toured across the United States, building his stage presence and following.
His first big TV role was as Justin Kearney on NBC’s sitcom Undateable(2014–2016). The show featured a cast of real comics who used improv, and it even led to a live stand-up tour with fellow cast members like Chris D’Elia and Ron Funches.
Brent then released a one-hour stand-up special called I’m Brent Morinin 2015 on Netflix. He also appeared in Netflix’s half-hour series The Standupsin 2018. In 2019, he starred alongside Dennis Quaid in the Netflix holiday series Merry Happy Whateveras Matt. He also appears as Agent Hobbs in the sci-fi web series Crunch Timeby Rooster Teeth.
