A Fox affiliate offered him a two to three minute cooking spot on its morning news program at first unpaid, but later paid after he earned a Regional Emmy for it. In January 2005, he moved to San Diego’s public access station, County Television Network (CTN), where he got his own half hour show; that show won more Regional Emmys and was also shared by other local cable networks. Later, Discovery Health Channel picked up one of his shows, titled Just Grill This!, though it was not continued when the network became part of Oprah Winfrey Network.
