In 1995, he met guitarist Keith Nelson through his tattoo artist, and together they formed a band named Sparrow, which later became Buckcherry.

Career

Josh Todd began his professional music career in 1995 when he co-founded the rock band Buckcherry. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 1999 and included the hit single “Lit Up,” which reached number one on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart. Over the years, Buckcherry became known for energetic performances and hard rock anthems, with Todd’s distinctive voice being a key element of their sound. In 2003, during a temporary break from Buckcherry, Todd released his solo album You Made Meunder the name Josh Todd & The Conflict, showcasing his versatility as a musician.
